With our benchmark being Yia Yia Mary's in the Galleria, we visited this newly opened restaurant on the spur of the moment.My wife both had the chicken...souvlaki, she with the Greek potatoes and a salad, me with the rice and a Greek salad. The waitress came to take out order, I asked her about the 2 sampler - which she described them both....my wife & I decided on the Greek Sampler...with that meal came 2 veggie sides....so, we we sooo impressed with the hummus & pita bread, I asked my waitress, "Would it be OK to drop the two-veggies items...and could we please just have another side of the hummus & pita?" The meal came out and was 4 plates FULL of food...one was the Greek variety of items, the 2nd was the meats, pita bread & sides to make Gyros, the 3rd was a super-size plate of the hummus, and the 4th was a super size plate of pita bread! With that said, this is a very good restaurant and one that we will definitely return to. The portions are large. I come here weekly for the appetizer for 2 to go and I have tried most everything on the menu. They bring warm pita and hummus as an appetizer which is...amazing. Yannis could still learn a little from Yia Yia Mary's on marinading the chicken for added tenderness and the Greek potatoes could stand a little more flavor.
